Most Adoptees Do not have RAD

Just a few thoughts running around in my head this morning. I think it’s worth pointing out that not all adopted kids have RAD. Not all adopted kids have emotional/behavioral difficulties. But some do and we have to acknowledge that. RAD is a developmental disability and it has very real consequences to the person themselves and the family raising them. Denying what is real does not serve kids. It only furthers their illness because we have to treat their condition, not bury our heads in the sand and hope for the best.
